DAY OF OPERATION PLANNING

Implants are artificial teeth made of titanium body to replace the teeth lost for any reason in order to restore the lost function and aesthetics. Dental implants are artificial tooth roots made of material compatible with human tissues that are placed in the jawbone to restore the function and aesthetics of missing teeth. They are screw-shaped structures produced in various lengths and diameters designed to imitate tooth roots, mostly made of titanium with improved surface properties.
This procedure, which is performed under local anesthesia, ends after the completion of the ossification (osteointegration) period of at least 3 months in the upper jaw and 2 months in the lower jaw, the prosthesis measurements taken from the mouth and the completion of the subsequent laboratory stages.
The prosthesis part, which is the second stage of treatment, is almost the same as normal prosthesis procedures and is trouble-free for the patient. Preferably, temporary prostheses can be used for functional purposes between the two stages.
The process of dental implants made of titanium merging with bone and becoming part of the body takes place through a very different mechanism than living organ transplants. For this reason, there is no tissue incompatibility or blood incompatibility for this treatment method, nor is there a need for special tests before the procedure. There is no proven scientific basis for what is described in society as the rejection of dental implants by the body. Likewise, there are no published scientific studies showing that titanium used in the production of dental implants causes allergic reactions or other diseases.

- After the implant is placed, a healing process usually takes 3-6 months for the implant to fully fuse with your jawbone. This process ensures that the implant is firmly integrated into the bone. During this time, your healing process is monitored with regular follow-up appointments. It is checked whether the implant is healing properly.
- After the implant is placed, a temporary tooth can be made. Take care of this tooth and follow your dentist's recommendations.
- Once the implant is fully integrated into the bone, a second surgical procedure can be performed. In this stage, a connecting piece called an abutment is placed on top of the implant. The abutment supports the top of the implant and the denture.
- After the abutment is placed, a custom dental prosthesis (crown, bridge or denture) is prepared for you. At this stage, your mouth measurements are taken and the prosthesis is prepared in the laboratory environment so that your denture fits perfectly.
- After the implant and prosthesis are placed, it is recommended that you attend regular follow-up appointments to check whether the implant is working properly.
- To maintain the health of the implant and surrounding gums, attention should be paid to oral hygiene. Regular brushing, flossing and following the care procedures recommended by your dentist are important.
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root placed in the jawbone to replace missing teeth. A dental crown or denture is usually placed on top.
The dental implant procedure involves the placement of the implant in the jawbone and the placement of a dental crown on top of it after the healing process (osteointegration). The procedure usually requires a surgical operation.
The placement of the implant is a surgical procedure that usually takes 1-2 hours. The healing process can take several months, which allows the jawbone to integrate with the implant. A dental crown is then placed.
Local anesthesia is used during implant placement, so there is no pain during the procedure. There may be slight discomfort or swelling after the procedure, this is usually temporary and can be controlled with painkillers.
Dental implants are long-lasting and can be used for years with proper care and hygiene. However, the lifespan of the dental crown over the implant may vary depending on dental care and oral hygiene.
A dental implant can be as aesthetic and functional as natural teeth, but instead of a tooth root, a titanium screw is used. Dental implants do not offer the natural function of root support that natural teeth offer, but they do provide aesthetics and functionality.
The integration process of the implant with the jawbone usually takes 3-6 months. After this period, a dental crown can be placed over the implant.
Dental implants are generally not recommended for people with insufficient jawbone, uncontrolled diabetes, heavy smokers or people with gum disease. In these cases, additional treatment is required.
The risks of a dental implant procedure can include infection, rejection of the implant, damage to the jawbone or nerve damage. It is important to work with an experienced dentist to reduce these risks.
Dental implants can be designed and applied aesthetically similar to natural teeth. Dental crowns on the implant are customized to be compatible with natural teeth.
Dental implant prices vary depending on the area to be treated, the quality of the implant, the treatment process and the materials used. It is recommended that you contact your dentist for a detailed evaluation and cost information.
